Poston made three birdies, an eagle at the par-5 5th and a single bogey on the front nine to make the turn in 32. He made a final birdie at the 11th before driving just out of bounds at the 15th leading to a double bogey followed by a three-putt bogey par at the 16th for a 70, joining Power in a playoff.

Both players matched each other with pars on the first five extra holes before Poston's drive found the water on the sixth at the 18th and bogeyed while Power made par and won.
