- Jacob Bridgeman shot a bogey-free 10-under 61 to win the Biltmore Championship by two strokes.
- Ben James finished second at 24-under after matching Bridgeman’s final-round 61.
- Bridgeman became the sixth multiple winner on the PGA Tour this season.
Jacob Bridgeman overturned a five-shot deficit with the lowest round of his PGA Tour career to win the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville.
The 26-year-old made eight birdies and an eagle in a bogey-free 10-under 61 at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, finishing two strokes ahead of Ben James on 26-under 258.
Bridgeman’s second victory of the season followed his maiden PGA Tour title at the Genesis Invitational in February. He became the sixth multiple winner of the campaign and will now make his Presidents Cup debut at Medinah next week.

Bridgeman turns the final round with his putter
Rain-softened conditions produced low scoring throughout Sunday, with Bridgeman, James and J.T. Poston all threatening 60 or better. Poston eventually recorded a career-low 60 after narrowly missing a 25-foot putt for 59.
Bridgeman began the day tied fifth after rounds of 66, 67 and 64. He had remained inside the top-10 after every round, but needed another major move to catch 54-hole leader Neal Shipley.
The PGA Tour’s season leader in Strokes Gained: Putting made two important par saves to stay in contention. He converted from 13 feet at the 11th, then went from one bunker to another at the par-4 12th before holing a 12-foot putt.
Three consecutive birdies followed as Bridgeman moved clear. Late eagle chances from 10 feet and about 20 feet stayed out, although both left tap-in birdies as he set a new career-low score by two strokes.
Bridgeman led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting at 8.132 and ranked third in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green. His 28 birdies and two eagles gave him a tournament-leading 30 holes of birdie or better.
The Clemson graduate grew up in Inman, South Carolina, about 50 miles from the course. His parents, his wife’s parents and other family members watched the victory after his parents had missed his win at Riviera.
“I think they wanted me to get a win in front of them,” Bridgeman said. “I didn’t think it would happen this soon. I’m just super pumped.”
James finishes two strokes behind
James also shot 61, equalling the career low he set in his previous tournament. The PGA Tour rookie birdied three of his final four holes and scrambled for par at the 18th to finish alone in second at 24-under.
The result was his best in 18 PGA Tour starts and lifted him from 108th to 66th in the FedExCup Fall standings. James only turned professional in June after earning membership as the No. 1 player in the PGA Tour University ranking.
Shipley, who entered Sunday with a one-shot lead, fell back. His first birdie arrived at the par-5 8th and a closing 69 left him tied third with Ricky Castillo at 23-under.
The finish was Shipley’s best on Tour and moved him from 183rd to 135th in the FedExCup Fall standings, with the top-100 retaining full cards for 2027.
Presidents Cup selection Jackson Koivun closed 63-65 over the weekend to share fifth place with Poston at 21-under. Bridgeman will join Koivun among the American rookies at Medinah after captain Brandt Snedeker selected both players earlier this month.
