Daniel Brown signed for a flawless 6-under 66 to reach 22-under and win his second DP World Tour title at the BMW International Open by two shots.
Brown, who lost a friend last week, was emotional after his win.
“The first [title] didn’t really sink in, but that one was straight away hit me.
“I lost a friend at home last weekend. I don’t know what to say really, but that was for him. The last two days I’ve been thinking about him to try and take my mind off it, obviously try not to get too emotional in the process.
“I’m not too sure what happened today like all day, it was an out-of-body experience. Obviously nerves, and then thinking about the importance of winning a golf tournament.
“It sort of played it down with what happened, I suppose he was there with me and it made it a lot easier.
“This event being such a great event, and then the next two weeks, it’s a nice three-week stretch and it’s been made a lot nicer.”
England’s Jordan Smith was bogey-free through the front nine and made the turn in 31 to join Brown in the lead at 20-under but three bogeys and three more birdies on the back nine saw him card a 67 to finish second at 20-under.
New Zealand’s Kazuma Kobori eagled the par-5 9th and also fired nine birdies and two bogeys to close with a 63 and finish in third place at 18-under
The Netherlands’ Joost Luiten eagled the par-4 4th and added four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey at the par-4 14th for a 69 and a share of fourth place at 16-under.
Alsot tied in fourth place were Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan who shot a bogey-free 36 and American Davis Bryant whose own 68 featured three bogeys.
