Gavin Green made a single bogey and six birdies to close with a 5-under 67 for a share of the lead at the BMW International Open.
The Malaysian player’s best result so far this season on the DP World Tour was T13 at the KLM Open in June.
England’s Marco Penge who won the Hainan Classic in April started on the back nine and made one bogey and one double bogey as well as four birdies to make the turn in 35. He fired four more birdies and stayed bogey-free to join the lead.

The Netherland’s Darius van Driel made one bogey, France’s Ugo Coussaud stayed bogey-free and China’s Wenyi Ding made an eagle at the par-5 18th as well as two bogeys to reach the top of the leaderboard.
Eighteen players are within two shots of the tie at the top with rain and thunderstorms forecast overnight.
