Calum Hill started the day three shots behind overnight leader Rasmus Højgaard and was still two behind at the turn.

The Scot kept his cool and came home in 33 to close with a 67 at 16-under, winning his maiden European Tour title at London Golf Club.

Cazoo Classic 2021 R4

"It's brilliant, I'm delighted. Happy with how I managed to play my last 11 holes and really proud of what I managed to do.

"I managed to manage my emotions pretty well and stay in each shot and not get ahead of myself. I definitely felt the pressure but managed to keep control of it.

"I wasn't really chasing a number, it felt like I was doing everything well today but at the start of the day my putts just weren't dropping and then that changed on the back nine.

Cazoo Classic 2021 R4

"This is the start and hopefully I can keep pushing on from here and see where I can take it."

Hill, who was beaten by fellow Scot Grant Forrest at last week's Hero Open in Scotland, is the first player to give Scotland back-to-back winners on the European Tour since 2012.

Alexander Levy of France produced a brilliant 64 to finish second at 15-under.

“I played amazing golf this weekend, I'm really proud of what I did. It's nice to feel this kind of pressure and adrenaline so I'm really pleased and I'm looking forward to the big events coming in the next few weeks.

Cazoo Classic 2021 R4

“I had my chances on 17 and 18 and just left the two putts short, but it's really good what I did with my game and it 's nice.

“I just want to win because I'm playing well not because the other players miss and that's the way I like it. ”

Englishmen Richard Bland (68) and Callum Shinkwin (66) finished in a tie for third at 14-under alongside Welshman Jamie Donaldson (67) and Dane Højgaard (72).
