Australian Minjee Lee made only three birdies in the fourth round of the Cognizant Founder Cup and closed with a 70 to reach 19-under but it was enough for a two-shot victory.

This was her seventh career title and her first since winning last year's Evian Championship. In her seven starts this year she had finished tied for second in the HSBC Women's World Championship and third in the DIO Implant LA Open.

"I just feel like I've kind of been trending. I've been hitting it really, really well this whole — I mean, this whole season, and I just felt like it was kind of around the corner. I kept knocking on the door, and here I am now.
"I was actually quite calm the whole day. My emotion was actually quite just very, very level, so it was just nice just to win. I think that's why I celebrated."

American Lexi Thompson, whose last win was in 2019, briefly shared the lead after making three birdies on the front nine but closed with six consecutive pars for a bogey-free 69 and had to settle for second place at 17-under.
Fellow American Angel Yin closed with a 67 and a share of third place at 16-under with Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom who carded a 72.
Spain's Carlota Ciganda finished fifth at at 15-under after closing with a 64.
