Adrian Otaegui closed with a 64 to take a six-shot lead at 16-under in the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters.
“I’m very happy, everything went perfectly today. I putted well, I felt very comfortable. The crowds were pushing amazingly, so that was unbelievable.
“I had a very good start with a nice birdie on the second and then three birdies in a row at four, five, six and that gave me a bit of momentum.
“I felt good on the course, tried to enjoy it, tried to stay focused. I missed a couple of birdie putts at the beginning of the front nine but finished with three good birdies.”
Fellow Spaniard and overnight co-leader Angel Hidalgo carded a 70 and moved down into a share of second place at 10-under alongside Sweden’s Joakim Lagergren who shot a 70.
Australian Min Woo Lee (71) lies in solo fourth place at 9-under followed by Scot Robert MacIntyre in fifth at 7-under (69).
