Lucas Glover Leads ISCO Championship by Two Shots After 36 Holes

Glover followed last week’s John Deere Classic top-three finish with another fast start, reaching 13-under at Hurstbourne Country Club despite rain and a delayed second round.

Lucas Glover leads the ISCO Championship by two shots after 36 holes, following his opening 63 with a 6-under 64 to reach 13-under 127 at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Chan Kim and Steven Fisk are tied for second at 11-under, with Aaron Wise and Jeong Weon Ko another shot behind.

The tournament is being played opposite the Genesis Scottish Open and is sanctioned by the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. The winner will earn a place into next year’sPGA Championship but not to the Masters.

Friday’s second round began an hour late because of rain. Preferred lies were in effect, and the softened par-70 course produced another low-scoring day. Glover started in wet conditions but stayed aggressive as the greens slowed slightly.

“It was a little bit nasty this morning when we started, had some rain through the first few holes,” Glover said. “Played nice, solid, no bogeys through two days. Need to keep that up. Scores are going to be low, so keep the pedal down.”

Glover’s Form Continues From the John Deere Classic

The 46-year-old Glover arrived in Louisville after tying for third at last week’s John Deere Classic, where he held at least a share of the lead through the first three rounds. His 127 is the best 36-hole score of his career, improving on the 128 he posted at the John Deere.

Glover has now produced nine consecutive rounds below 70. He is also bogey-free through 36 holes for the second straight week, the first time in his career that he has achieved it in back-to-back stroke-play events. He achieved the feat in his 583rd PGA Tour start.

Glover leads the field in strokes gained: tee to green at 7.310 and has gone 5-for-5 in scrambling. He also opened the tournament with his 12th career 36-hole lead or co-lead, having converted one of his previous 11 into a victory.

“I had a feeling it was going to be soft today just with the forecast and everything,” Glover said. “Just stay aggressive. Came out a little early after the delay to make sure I had the speed of the greens. They were a tick slower, but nothing drastic.”

Glover is the field’s lone major winner, with six PGA Tour victories, including the 2009 US Open. He also owned the solo 36-hole lead in his only prior trip to the ISCO Championship in 2023, when he finished fifth.

Kim, who shot 65, knows the position. He led after 18 and 36 holes at last year’s tournament before finishing tied for 14th. Fisk, who carded a 66, is seeking his second PGA Tour victory in his 45th start after winning the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship.

Wise and Ko both posted 65s to move to 10-under. For Ko, the weekend marks his first cut in seven Tour starts after four seasons on the DP World Tour.

Defending champion William Mouw moved into sixth at 9-under after shooting the round of the day, a 7-under 63. Taylor Pendrith also shot 63 and sits at 7 under, while Mouw trails Glover by four shots in his attempt to become the event’s first multiple winner.

“I played really solid golf today,” Mouw said. “Hit my targets, had really good speed on the greens. Short game held up when I missed a green. All in all, very pleased with my round today.”

NCAA champion Preston Stout is 5-under after a 67. Jackson Koivun also reached 5-under with a 68, making his first professional cut after birdieing his final three holes. Glover will take the lead into a weekend shaped by soft conditions and a crowded group of challengers within four shots.
