Shaun Norris started the day with a one-shot lead and closed with a 67 in spite of a bogey and a double bogey at the par-4 3rd hole to increase his lead to four shots at the Joburg Open.
“I hit the ball nicely and gave myself some good chances. Overall I can’t complain about the round,” said the South African. I’m pretty happy with where my game is at the moment, I’m hitting the ball nicely.
“It’s always nice (to have a four-shot lead) but I want to win by ten so let’s keep going!
“Nothing’s changing tomorrow. I’ll carry on doing exactly what I’ve been doing the last couple of days.”
Norris has already won once at home this season, at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in December.
Fellow South African Jacques Kruyswijk fired an eagle at the par-5 10th but also made three bogeys to close with a 68 and a share of second place at 10-under alongside France’s Adrien Saddier who made one bogey and a double bogey at the par-4 15th for a 70.
Germany’s Nicolai von Dellingshauden made two birdies and a bogey for a 69 and lies in fourth place at 9-under.
