Paul McBride claimed the Caddy Comps Championship at Gloria Golf Club with a three-day total of 17-under par, securing his second Tier 1 title on the Clutch Pro Tour’s Rapsodo Series 2026. The win, confirmed by the Clutch Pro Tour on Instagram, came with an £8,000 prize and lifted McBride to the top of the Order of Merit standings.

McBride, who represents The Island, opened with rounds of 66 and 67 to reach 11-under and carry a two-shot lead into the final day. That cushion looked fragile early on, as he dropped shots with two bogeys in his first three holes. He responded with birdies and an eagle to close with a 66, winning by three from Alex Maguire with Giles Evans also among the main challengers on the final day.
It was a good win, I was happy because it was tough, That’s probably the hardest way to win when someone is playing really well against you in the final group and I was happy to do it.
The victory follows McBride’s win at the Ashburnham Classic in south Wales earlier this season, where he produced a final-round 69 to win by two strokes. A former Walker Cup player, he has been open about his desire to move beyond the mini-tour level as quickly as possible. Two wins from the opening stretch of the season put him in a strong position to do exactly that: the top three players in the Clutch Pro Tour Order of Merit at season’s end earn automatic HotelPlanner Tour cards.
I’m happy, I’m playing very well, all aspects of my game are good so I am looking forward to the next few weeks and hopefully I can nick another win at some point,I’d like to get one more win and get that automatic spot.
McBride now heads into the next phase of the 2026 season with two Tier 1 titles, the Order of Merit lead and an automatic HotelPlanner Tour card in his sights.
