PGA Tour rookie Sahith Theegala produced a bogey-free 67 on Saturday to take the solo lead into the final day of the Sanderson Farms Championship.

He started the day in a three-way tie for the lead at 13-under and made a single birdie on the front nine but fired consecutive birdies on the first three holes of the back nine and another one at the 15th to reach 18-under and a one-shot lead.

"I started off playing really well, really solid, just missed a few makeable putts, but felt like my game was good. Then I started to hit some -- I got a few to go in at the start of the back nine -- and then I hit some wild drives, I mean way right, so was really happy to escape with a couple pars. It just felt like a grind those last five, six holes there. Obviously really happy with how I ground that out."

Cameron Tringale fired two eagles at the par-5s 5th and 14th as well as six birdies for a bogey-free 62 to move into a share of second place at 17-under.

Tringale, who has made 311 starts on the PGA Tour and is still looking for his first win, matched his career best score on the PGA Tour from the RSM Classic at Sea Island last November.

"I love playing," said Tringale, "obviously I've been out here a long time, I haven't won, but I love competing and I just want to see if I can keep beating guys and you know you compete every day, Sunday they give the trophies away, but you're really out there grinding and you're playing against yourself, but it's just fun to see how I can match up when I'm playing well and even when I'm not, just how to manage that and get the most out of each week. That's kind of the fun part for me. I'm kind of a journeyman to this point and I'm enjoying the journey."

Denny McCarthy and Sam Burns signed for bogey-free 65s to join Tringale alongside Cameron Young who closed with a 67.

Overnight co-leader, Nick Watney, produced four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey at the par-4 16th for a 71 and a share of tenth place at 14-under.

The third leader after the second round, Will Zalatoris, made just two birdies on the front nine and added two bogeys to his scorecard to close with a 72 and slipped down the leaderboard into a share of 16th place at 13-under.
