March 11-14
PGA National (Champion), Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

Matt Jones tied the course record set by Brian Harman in 2012 at PGA National with a bogey-free 9-under 61 to take a three-shot lead on a windy day in Florida.

"I play golf for a living," said Jones. "I mean, I should be able to shoot a good golf score occasionally. It doesn't happen as much as I want. But yes, I'm very happy with it. I was very calm, I was very relaxed out there. I'm normally a bit more amped-up and hyped-up and I had a different goal this week, to be a little more calm than normally and walk slower."

"I was just managing the golf course and hitting good shots."

Jones has won once on the PGA Tour, at the 2014 Houston Open, and has failed to make the cut in a major since the 2016 Open Championshop. His highest finish at The Honda so far was a tie for fourth in 2008.

"That's an incredible round of golf," said Lee Westwood (70). "Could be the round of the year, 61 around here, when it's flat calm, impressive. But when there's a 15-, 20-mile-an-hour wind blowing, greens are fast, a lot of crosswinds, that's an incredible round of golf."

Aaron Wise and Russell Henley shot the next best score, 64, since Rory McIlroy and Russell Knox shot 63s in 2014.

Graeme McDowell on the other hand made quadruple bogey at the 15th and double bogey at the 17th for a 9-over 79.

"It's just so hard, so tricky," said Lowry. "There's a lot of disaster holes."
