Jason Scrivener started the day three shots behind the leaders but shot the low round of the week so far to take the lead at 12-under in the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed.

"It has been a frustrating couple of months, and I felt a round like this was close and I am pretty happy with it.

"I have been playing decent just not really holing any putts and making a few mistakes here and there, and not putting a score together, so for it all to come together today it was nice."

The Australian fired eight birdies, including four back-to-back from the 11th, to close with a bogey-free 64.

Italian amateur Carolina Melgrati, who held a share of the overnight lead, shot 69 for a share of second place at 10-under alongside Sweden's Linn Grant (68) and France's Mike Lorenzo-Vera (66).

"I don’t know any adjective to describe this feeling!" said Melgrati of being in contention. "It’s great and it’s unbelievable.

"It has been great. I’m excited and I just want to keep going. I can’t wait to play tomorrow! I love playing, so that’s my dream."

Scotlan's Craig Howie, who was also part of the four-way tie for the lead overnight, closed with a 70 anad a share of fifth place at 9-under with England's Daniel Gavins who shot 67.
