There we have it, the first two days of the PGA Championship are done and dusted, but which LIV Golfers made the cut at Quail Hollow?
Overall, 16 players from the breakaway league were taking part in the second major championship of the 2025 season, representing 28% of the total LIV field.
This is up from the 12 players who competed at the Masters in April, where Patrick Reed finished third, while Bryson DeChambeau finished in a tie for fifth.
At Augusta, a total of seven LIV stars made the halfway cut, with five heading home early.
At Quail Hollow, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Martin Kaymer and Dustin Johnson all performed horribly, missing the cut by several shots.
Joining them was Cameron Smith, John Caitlin, Patrick Reed and Dean Burmester, which left just eight LIV players in the competition heading into the weekend.
Just who made the cut, however?
LIV Golfers who made the PGA Championship cut
Richard Bland – 3-under par
The Englishman shot rounds of 70 and 69 to comfortably make the weekend. This is just his second PGA Championship, with his only prior appearance coming at the 2022 edition, where he missed the cut.
Bryson DeChambeau – 3-under par
DeChambeau came close to winning the Masters, but slipped away during the final round to finish T5 at Augusta. Following an opening round of 71 at Quail Hollow, the American shot a 68 on Friday to remain firmly in contention to win a second major title.
Jon Rahm – 2-under par
The Spaniard has endured his struggles in the majors since winning the Masters in 2023, but two rounds of 70 has given him a chance to head up the leaderboard over the weekend. Winning seems out of the question, but a top ten finish will go a long way in boosting his confidence.
Tyrrell Hatton – 1-under par
An opening round 68 was excellent by Hatton, but Friday saw him record three bogeys and a triple on his way to a 73, leaving him at 1-under par for the tournament heading into the weekend.
Tom McKibbin – 1-under par
The Northern Irishman is playing in just his third major championship and first PGA, but has done well so far this week. Rounds of 70 and 71 saw him make the cut with a couple of shots to spare at Quail Hollow.
Joaquin Niemann – 1-under par
An opening round of 74 for Niemann looked to have derailed his challenge for a maiden major title, but a stunning round of 67 on Friday meant he would be around for the weekend.
Sergio Garcia – 1+over par
Garcia shot a dismal 75 on Thursday which featured seven bogeys and only three birdies, but he improved on Friday, shooting an impressive 68 which saw him make the weekend on the number.
David Puig – 1+over par
Puig’s rounds of 71 and 72 ensure he will make the cut at a major for just the third time and if he can shoot in the 60s on Saturday, he will certainly move up the leaderboard.
