Steven Alker overturned a two-shot deficit with a final-round 68 to win The Ally Challenge by three strokes on Sunday at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club.

The 55-year-old New Zealander finished at 15-under 201, securing his second consecutive victory and his third PGA Tour Champions title of 2026. Retief Goosen took second at 12-under after producing the lowest round of the day, an 8-under 64.

Heavy rain delayed the start of play by two hours, but Alker maintained the form that had taken him into the final group. He began Sunday at 11-under, two behind 36-hole leader Michael Block, before completing the largest final-round comeback in the tournament’s nine-year history.

Alker Extends Winning Run

Alker arrived in Michigan after defeating Y.E. Yang in a playoff at the Rogers Charity Classic in Calgary. A seven-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole delivered that victory, his second of the season.

His earlier title came at the Cologuard Classic in March, where he beat Pádraig Harrington on the first playoff hole. Alker has now won all three playoffs he has contested on PGA Tour Champions.

The Ally Challenge victory was the 13th of his senior career in 113 starts, giving him a win rate of 11.50 per cent. That is the fifth-best figure in PGA Tour Champions history among players with at least 10 victories.

Alker also became the third player to win at least three times this season, joining Charles Schwab Cup leader Stewart Cink and second-ranked Zach Johnson. He remains fourth in the standings, behind Harrington in third.

This is Alker’s second season with at least three victories since joining the circuit in 2021. He won four times in 2022, twice in both 2023 and 2025, and once in 2024.

Goosen Charges as Block Slips Back

Goosen’s closing 64 lifted the World Golf Hall of Fame member into outright second and delivered his fourth top-three result in 17 starts this season.

Block, playing in only his fifth PGA Tour Champions event, could not convert his first 36-hole lead on the circuit. The 50-year-old club professional shot 74 and shared third at 11-under with Cink and Greg Chalmers.

Cink closed with a 67 to record his ninth top-three finish in 15 appearances during a five-win season. Chalmers signed for a 69, while Block’s result was still his third top-10 finish in five starts.

Harrington shot 73 on the day before his 55th birthday and tied for seventh. John Rollins joined him after making a hole-in-one at the eighth, while Henrik Stenson closed with a 69 to tie for 27th at five under in his PGA Tour Champions debut.
