An elite golf iron that can be perfectly tailored to your swing

Callaway’s most ‘powerful forged iron face ever’ will maximise distance and feel

While the rest of the Paradym family supersede what Callaway has produced before, the new irons sit above the established and popular Rogue and Apex ranges.

At nearly £1,200 for the steel-shafted irons (4-52-deg wedge), they are clearly aimed at very serious golfers but what you get in return are some very special features.

Callaway makes some big claims around its new AI-designed forged 455 Face, stating it is its most ‘powerful forged iron face ever. Each face is uniquely optimised for more speed, higher launch and increased spin consistency’.

For virtually all golfers this represents the Holy Trinity of what we all want from our irons but Callaway has the means and the reputation to back it up.

Central to that is a flexible Tungsten weighting system. In the Standard Paradym irons you get up to 67 grammes to play with but in the X version, aimed at 12 and above handicappers, that rises to 79.

That is a lot of weight to get right at your fitting and the precise weighting and positioning of that tungsten will make a huge difference to the increase in forgiveness on mis-hits.

The Callaway Paradym X Irons

In addition to that the all-new Hollow Body design features Speed Frame construction for added stiffness to the body and support for the high-strength Forged 455 Face Cup. This unique construction is the catalyst that stabilises a thinner face for incredibly fast ball speeds.

To round things off a patented Urethane Microspheres deliver the ultra-soft feel and premium sound that discerning players demand.

As you might expect the loft on the X irons is slightly less to aid penetrating ball flight – on the X seven iron it is 27.5 degrees while on the standard Paradym model that rises to 29 degrees.

The clubs are available in these shafts:

• MCA Aldila Ascent PL Blue for female and higher handicap male players (40g, WMS; 50g, light) – Standard and X

• Project X Hzrdus Silver shaft (60g, regular; 70g, stiff) – Standard and X

• True Temper Elevate MPH 85 (85g, regular, stiff) – X

• True Temper Elevate MPH 95 (95g, regular, stiff) – Standard
