Adam Schenk carded a career-low, flawless 62 on Friday to take a share of the lead at 13-under in the Farmers Insurance Open.

"My goals going into today were just, you know, 18 decisions. I guess, 18 holes just making the best decisions I can in whatever spots I put myself in. The first hole, put it in the bunker and chunked it short and that's the only place you really couldn't be for hole 1, short left. Hit to to 20 feet and made the putt for par.

"And then from there on, made a couple birdies, lost track of how many I made in a row, but like I said earlier, there was a lot of low scores on the North course yesterday and I knew
there was a lot of gettable holes and I needed to keep going if I wanted to get up on top of the leaderboard and hopefully stay there throughout the weekend. So I know I had to try to keep the pedal down and not get satisfied with how many birdies I made."

Justin Thomas produced a bogey-free 63 for his share of the lead while Jon Rahm made a single bogey at the 18th to close with a 65 for his.

“I managed really well today,” said Rahm. “It feels good because if you tell me before the round I'm going to hit four fairways and shoot 7-under, I'd tell you that something out there must have been really good, which today was. For how little fairways I hit, I was able to hit a lot of those greens from the rough, which is not the easiest thing to do.”

Cameron Tringale remained bogey-free for a 65 and lies in fourth place at 12-under followed by Peter Malnati (66) in fifth at 11-under.

Overnight leader Billy Horschel closed with a 73 and slipped down into a share of twelfth place at 8-under.
