Ruoning Yin birdied the final hole at TPC Boston to win the 2026 FM Championship by two strokes over Hyo Joo Kim on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Chinese player closed with a 2-under 70 to finish at 14-under, securing her sixth LPGA Tour title and first since the 2024 Maybank Championship.

Yin began the final round with a one-shot advantage after chipping in at the 18th on Saturday. That lead disappeared during the final round, but she remained patient as breezy conditions complicated scoring across the closing holes.

Yin Takes Control on the Back Nine

A 25-foot birdie putt at the par-5 12th moved Yin into a share of the lead with playing partner Hyo Joo Kim. She then made five consecutive pars before adding another birdie at the par-5 18th to win by two strokes.

“I think this one definitely boosts my confidence a little bit,” Yin said. “I just want to enjoy the moment.”

Hyo Joo Kim, already a two-time winner this season, signed for a 71 and finished at 12-under. She three-putted for bogey at the par-3 16th after missing a nine-foot par attempt. She then missed a seven-foot birdie chance at the 17th.

“At the end of the day it was Ronni,” Kim said.

Sei Young Kim briefly moved one ahead by chipping in for birdie at the par-3 11th. Her round changed immediately afterwards, however, as a double bogey and two further bogeys cost her four shots across the next three holes. A closing 73 left her tied for fourth at 10-under.

Yin Ends 672-Day Wait

Yin’s victory ended a 672-day period without an LPGA Tour title. She won twice in 2023 and three more times in 2024, but had not won since her victory in Malaysia.

“It’s just been so long since my last win,” Yin said. “I know I work hard and also my team, my mom is here. Just everything comes together.”

Allisen Corpuz produced a final-round 68 to take third place at 11-under. Rose Zhang matched that score and shared fourth place with Sei Young Kim, giving two members of the completed US Solheim Cup team top-5 finishes.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda closed with a 73 and tied for 50th at 1-over in the final LPGA Tour event before the Solheim Cup at Bernardus in the Netherlands from September 11–13.

European captain Anna Nordqvist shot 72 to tie for 38th at 1-under in the final LPGA Tour appearance of her career.

“I’m not really sure how to feel,” Nordqvist said. “Nothing ever prepares you for this moment. I’m definitely going to miss it.”

Bernardus opened in 2018, located in Cromvoirt close to Eindhoven and ’s-Hertogenbosch in Southern Netherlands.
