The United States won Saturday morning’s four-balls 2½–1½ at Medinah, trimming the International Team’s Presidents Cup lead to 8½–5½.
Chris Gotterup and Cameron Young took one American point, with Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns winning the other in the final match. The Internationals, who swept Friday’s foursomes, earned a full point through Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim and a half through Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im. Four Saturday matches remain before Sunday’s singles.
Lee and Im save a half-point
Justin Thomas and Jackson Koivun were two up after six holes against Lee and Im. Lee birdied the 15th to cut the deficit to one, then Thomas found water at the par-three 16th. The International pair won that hole to square the match, and both sides made pars at the last two holes for the first tie of this Presidents Cup.
Thomas remains unbeaten in Presidents Cup four-balls, with a 7-0-1 record.

Si Woo Kim wins the closing holes
Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark led Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim by two holes after seven. Si Woo Kim’s birdie at the 11th brought the match level, and four straight halves took it to the 16th all square.
Si Woo Kim birdied the par-three 16th to put the Internationals ahead. He birdied the 17th as the American pair made double bogey, sealing a 2&1 win. The Kims have won all three matches together this week, while Si Woo Kim’s Presidents Cup four-ball record stands at 5-0.
Gotterup and Young build an early lead
Gotterup and Young won the first four holes against Nick Taylor and Corey Conners. Gotterup’s eagle at the 4th put the Americans four up.
Conners birdied the 8th and 10th to narrow the gap, but Gotterup won the 14th with a birdie. Conners also birdied the 17th, leaving the Americans 2 up with one hole to play. The victory was Gotterup’s first in his debut Presidents Cup.
Scheffler and Burns finish with three straight holes
Matsuyama’s birdie at the 13th put him and Hisatsune ahead of Scheffler and Burns. Scheffler birdied the 15th to bring the match level.
Burns then hit his tee shot to four feet four inches at the par-3 16th and his approach to four feet one inch at the 17th. The Americans won both holes to take the match 2&1.
