Andrew Putnam carded a bogey-free 62 on Friday to take a share of the lead at 10-under in the Zozo Championship.

"No bogeys I think through the first 36 holes, so that's obviously great. First group off, so the greens were really smooth and rolled it really well, made a lot of putts.

"There's a couple tough holes that you've got to try to make pars and survive those ones. Just a lot of birdie chances out there. Greens are soft and just played really, really steady today.

"I've been playing well for the last few months, so I'm just trying to keep it going. Putter's heating up. This course feels a lot like home, northwest golf. Obviously the clouds, I'm used to that, a lot of trees, and greens are rolling really smooth, so feel pretty comfortable out here."

Fellow American Rickie Fowler carded an equally bogey-free 63 for his share of the lead.

"Felt like I did a good job of kind of just focusing, staying kind of present and trying to keep moving forward. It's always nice to have a clean card. I think that was the biggest difference from yesterday to today. Obviously not as much moisture, we had a nice dry day, but on top of that, for me, just kind of cleaning up the card and managed my way around really nicely today," said Fowler.

"The last two days I wasn't exactly swinging it great. Like I said, I kind of did a good job of managing my way around. I'll get some work in tomorrow before the round and try and exaggerate a few things where I'm a little bit tighter in lines and flights that I want. Like I said, I just did a good job of accepting what I had and kind of moving forward with that."

Keegan Bradley's own bogey-free 65 places him in third place at 9-under followed at 8-under by another American, John Huh, whose bogey-free 61 was the low round of the day.

Japan's Keita Nakajima rounds out the top-5 at 7-under.

Overnight leader Brendan Steele carded a 73 and lies in T24 at 3-under.
