22-year-old Pajaree Anannarukarn and 19-year-old Yealimi Noh carded 6-under 65s to tie for the lead of the Amundi Evian Championship, the fourth women's major championship this season.

Noh, winner of the 2019 Cambia Portland Classic as a Non-Member, eagled the par-4 first hole, made a single bogey at the par-4 4th and closed with a birdie at the 18th.
“I honestly just wanted to finish good because starting off with an eagle is always like, you want to play well and take advantage of that early start, ” said Noh. “It was a little slow at the turn, but then I got some putts in and hit a lot of greens .”

Anannarukarn stayed bogey-free in her lowest round in a major.
“I think I've been hitting my irons pretty well, too, so that definitely helps, and I made some long putts out there,” said Anannarukarn. “I was just trying, like again, trying to focus on the speed and what I've been working on, and I think it just worked out pretty good.”

Five players are tied for third at 5-under including a bogey-free Atthaya Thitikul, who made her Evian debut as an amateur in 2017 at the age of 14, finishing in 64th place.
“I just play as I played it before in practice rounds,” said Thitikul. “This course, you have to be in the fairway and then it will be easier to get to the pin. ”
Defending champion Jin Young Ko, who won in 2019, signed for a 1-over 72.
