Sebastian Söderberg made an eagle at the par-5 3rd, three birdies and one bogey and moved to the top of the leaderboard at 8-under at the weather affected KLM Open. He is currently 4-under with four holes to play.

England’s Joe Dean fired four birdies and two bogeys and still has two holes to play. He is currently tied in second place at 7-under alongside compatriot Callum Tarren who fired six birdies and one bogey and has five holes left in his round.

Also tied in second place are Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa who closed with a 66 having made seven birdies and two bogeys and New Zealand’s Daniel Hillier whose 65 featured seven birdies and one bogey. Hillier started the day at 1-over with ten holes of his first round still to play.

“There was a lot of golf played today so I am a bit tired but played pretty steady all day,” said Hillier. “Today was a little bit easier than yesterday for sure, still not easy, but just good to play a shot on its merit, and I did that pretty well so proud of that.

“The swing felt nice and I holed a few putts. Just one of those days were I felt in sync with everything which was nice. A couple putts went in early, and it gave me some momentum for the day.”

France’s Julien Guerrier who held the overnight lead made three birdies, one bogey and a double bogey at the par-4 14th and still has two holes to play. He is currently T6 at 6-under.

Play at the KLM Open was suspended for the day due to fading light and will resume at 07:15 local time tomorrow
