South Korean Sungjae Im fired a bogey-free 65 for a share of the lead at 14-under in the Shriners Children's Open.

" I feel pretty good about my game overall and I just want to keep these feelings and try to have a good week this week.

"Even though I'm in the lead, I'm top of the leaderboard, there's two days left to play, so I like to try to keep focused on my game and try to take it one shot at a time. It's going to be difficult if it's windy, so I have to be more strategic to the course management.

"It was pretty windy today overall, it was hard for me to play well in the beginning, but I tried to keep composure and tried not to be too aggressive. But when I had like short distance I hit my wedge pretty good and that makes me have lots of birdies today."

Tied alongside him is American Chad Ramey who also signed for a 65 in his fifth start on the PGA Tour.

"I hit it really well off the tee all day," said Ramey. "The putter made a lot of putts on my front nine, which was the back nine, and I got off to a good start.

"Putter went a little cold on the back nine, but I was still hitting great putts and managed to make a couple of birdies coming in.

"Just obviously being in the final group or I think I'm in the final group, I'm not sure. But yeah, just being that close, having the lead, it's the position you want to put yourself in. I'm not going to change game plans, so I'm going to approach tomorrow with the same game plan and just enjoy it."

Children's Open 2021 R2

Last week's winner, Sam Burns shot a bogey-free 63 on Friday to take a share of third place at 13-under alongside fellow American Adam Schenk (65).

Sam Burns won the Sanderson Farms Championship last week and is trying to put it behind him. He's playing as though it never ended.

Burns has been in great form laterly, winning twice in the last six months and coming second in the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational after losing the playoff.

"I think what we tried to do is just last week's last week. This week is Shriners and preparing for this week, trying to make sure Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, that we are giving ourself the best opportunity to play well this week.

Children's Open 2021 R2

"So that's been the biggest thing is just trying to move on from last week. Obviously incredibly honored that I won last week and such a fun time, but just trying to kind of leave that there, come here, and just preparing the best that I can.

"Hit the fairway on the first hole, so that's always nice. Just played solid overall. Kept the ball in the fairway, was able to give myself some good looks and was able to make some putts."

Overnight leader Sung Kang moved down to T17 after following up his opening 61 with a 73, having made two bogeys and two double-bogeys.
