Jordan Spieth and Matt Wallace both birdied their final two holes to post 67s and tie for the lead at 12-under heading into the final day of the Valero Texas Open.

Texas Open 2021 R3

“I didn't feel like I had great control of the golf ball,” said Spieth. “I left the ball in the right spots when it was missed and really, I did a great job managing today.”

“It was good fun on the back nine, trading birdies. I think that's what we'll hopefully look to do tomorrow. On the back, it was nice to see some putts go in within the group. It was a fun atmosphere out there.”

Texas Open 2021 R3

Charley Hoffman shot six birdies, an eagle at the par-5 14th and a single bogey at the 4th to close with a 65. He lies in third place two shots behind the leaders.

Overnight leader Cameron Tringale lost the lead after a bogey at the 2nd then bogeyed three holes back-to-back from the 11th to sign for a 73 and move down to fourth at 8-under.
